'In fact, there is no word—except maybe "freedom"—that has such wide-ranging and often contradictory conglomerate of meanings as the word "love." It denotes feelings that parents have for their children, and children for their parents, and friends for their friends.' —Robert Spearman, 'The Paradoxes of Love'
