"So, how's your homework going?"
"Good, good."
"I heard you finished a lot of it yesterday. Thought about treating yourself to some free-time for having done so much work the last couple of weeks?"
"What? No, not at all. I'm working until it's done."
"Good, I'm pleased to hear that. At this rate you'll be done early tonight and might have some spare time."
"Exactly. All is going according to plan."
"Good, good. I'll check in on you later."
"Sure thing." I shut the nagging voice away and turn to look at the cardboard sheet on the bed behind me. Lego pieces are scattered across it, and a half-finished Sidney Opera House sits in the middle.
Homework can wait a little bit longer.
