Announcement: Submission Guidelines

Hi everyone!

The Quarantine Journal has been running for a while now, and we have written a little bit about what our day-to-day lives are like during quarantine, isolation, and lockdown, a little bit about the past and things we miss, and a little bit of escapist fiction.

However, we are not the only ones affected by the virus. Therefore we would like to invite other writers—from all over the world—to share their current experiences, something from before the virus that they miss, something they look forward to after the virus ends, or a piece of escapist fiction. We are not experienced writers, nor do we expect the contributors to be experienced writers, but we will be looking for well-formulated writing. We do expect the guidelines below to be adhered to, and we do expect contributors to be ready to edit their submissions.

Guidelines:
  • Themes: Coronavirus, quarantine, isolation, lockdown, life, escapism.
  • Word count: maximum 1,000; minimum 200.
  • Language: English.
  • Include a title at the top of the page.
  • Include the name of the writer or the name the writer wishes to publish by under the title. If the writer wishes to remain anonymous in publication, please write 'Anonymous' under the title.
Please submit it in either PDF or Word Doc/Docx to theqjournal@gmail.com. We accept more than one submission from the same contributor, but would prefer if they kept it to a maximum of two contributions per week.

We look forward to reading some wonderful submissions, and look forward to working with you!
