063: A Study of Droplets
Pearling from the tap, they shimmer. They catch the daylight that flows through the window across the room. They break it. As more water trickles into them, they sway gently. They sparkle with light, set against a background of broken grey. Until they drop. Free-falling, they turn, reaching for something to hold on to. Something to stop their fall. Then they hit the bottom of the sink and explode into hundreds and thousands of fragments. Some are so small that they become invisible to the naked eye, while others layer around the epicentre. But slowly they all trickle back. They create a pool, into which more droplets fall. Eventually they will disappear into the void of the drain. But it will take time. For now, they shimmer in daylight.
