090: Childhood Summers

We tied it up that summer. With knots for us to climb along, it dangled from a sturdy branch a couple of meters above our heads. Climbing in it was our favourite thing to do. We would be adventurers who had to reach the jungle roof to get our bearings, or pirates gazing for land. Sometimes we would hide there to talk and eat chocolate. We put up a tarp so we could sit there, even when it rained, and we brought blankets. Sometimes we fell asleep there. The pitter-patter on the plastic followed me through my dreams. Neither of us knew that the rope was rotting.
