123: Despite the Sceptics
The hills lie empty and foreign before you. Wind pushes past you, whistling into the clear skies. With a leap, your heart follows it. You have never been this far north before, but there is no snow. The grass is green, the air is fresh, and you wonder if any of those who spoke about it had ever been beyond the borders of their own fields. This is a new land, a young land. Calling to your horse, you kick its sides and set off down the hill.
